** Syn-Hycan is safe and it does not contain PFAS. The United States EPA has removed TFA from it's definition of PFAS and we expect EWG to update their grading from a "10" back to a "1." The EWG purports the key active contained within Syn-Hyan is fundamentally unsafe because it contains PFAS, even though trifluoroacetate (TFA) is not considered a per- or polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS).

PFAS are a class of synthetic chemicals that contain fluorine atoms bonded to carbons oriented along a chain. Whilst TFA is a simple organic compound that contains fluorine, it is not classified as a PFAS because it lacks the long, fluorinated carbon chain associated with PFAS. That said, Syn-Hycan has over a decade of use in skin care and has a well-documented safety profile.

Suggested Use and Application Routine

For best results, apply a thin layer of SHRUBTOX® under the eye area in the morning before your day starts or before bedtime.  Use consistently for 30 nights to see initial improvements in the appearance of your eyelid skin. If applying on the upper eyelid, use a very thin layer and apply only before bedtime to avoid sweating into the eyes. It can blur your vision.
