HOW DO YOU REMOVE THE INDUCTION SEAL ON THE FOAMING CLEANSERS?

As of Jan 2024, we have created a new, super strength induction seal to prevent leaks during transportation and carrier handling. If unable to open with clean fingertips, use a clean sharp tool to create a small superficial incision so that the induction seal can be carefully removed. Glue and foil residue will likely remain which will not affect the function or quality of the product.

How do you use the products?

  • We believe in less is more. Use small amounts to achieve the results you want. 1/2 to 2 drops, sprays, or pumps is usually sufficient.
  • Although we formulate eye care products, they are not formulated for use inside the eyes. Every product has been safety tested for ocular irritation, but mild stinging or blurry vision may occur with over or unintentional use.

What are the benefits of the products?

We Love Eyes products are formulated by an optometrist with mindful consideration for the intricate anatomy and physiology of the eye and tear film. We get results because we use clean, thoughtful ingredients that pay respect to the ocular surface. Many products on the market do clean, but they contain ingredients that may make the eyes feel worse.

*Please note. We Love Eyes products do not treat any eye disease. We Love Eyes products do not replace your eye care professional. Always consult your eye care professional when using eye care products.

I AM HAVING AN EYE PROBLEM. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Our philosophy is that clean eyes make happy eyes. We have sorted our product listings to help with common eye problems, but by no means should you use We Love Eyes products to treat any eye disease. Our founder is an optometrist and she did not invent We Love Eyes products as a replacement for your eye care professional.

If you are experiencing blurry vision, red eyes or eyelids, eye pain, eye discharge, eye pressure, headaches, double vision, a drooping eyelid, different pupil size, flashes of light, floaters, or sensitivity to light – these may be symptoms of serious vision threatening eye problems. You will need to seek help from your eye care professional immediately.

Why tea tree oil?

Optometrists LOVE tea tree oil because it works so well to clean the meibomian glands of the eyelid. Tea tree oil is a natural enemy to bacteria and demodex mites. That's why many of our products contain this key ingredient.

What makes these products different from other products?

Our products are non-toxic, vegan, cruelty-free, sulfate-free, paraben-free, phthalate free, fragrance free, retinol free, and free of artificial colors. Our oils and night time eye cream are 100% preservative free. We use the highest quality ingredients to ensure that our products are healthy for your eyes. Our products are Leaping Bunny Certified and have been screened at Environmental Working Group (ewg.org).

I wear heavy waterproof mascara. Would these products work for me?

Absolutely! We Love Eyes products were designed for you. Heavy eye makeup wear tends to go hand in hand with dry eye and blepharitis. Properly removing all your eye makeup every night will help your eyes feel better. We recommend using the eye makeup remover oil first then do a final wash off with a foaming cleanser. Our foaming cleansers are also pH balanced to use as a daily face wash. We definitely encourage you to experiment and find out what works best for you.

What about falsies and lash extensions?

If you wear temporary false eyelashes, we highly recommend removing them after every use (do not sleep in them) and removing all eye makeup and eyelash glue residue immediately. You will get the best result with our eye makeup removers followed with our foaming cleansers.

If you wear eyelash extensions, you cannot use either oil product as they will likely loosen the glue bond of your extensions (unless that is your intention). We have 5 products that are 100% oil free that are ideal for extensions: Tea Tree Water Eyelid & Eyelash Foaming Cleanser, Mist Eyelid & Eyelash Spray Cleansing Spray, Calm Eyelid & Eyelash Spray Cleansing Spray, Eyelid Margin Cleansing Brush (heart shaped head), and In Between Eyelash Cleansing Brush (looks like a fork).

How do I use the Eyelid Foaming Cleanser with my lash extensions?

Use 1 pump of Tea Tree Water Eyelid & Eyelash Foaming Cleanser on a cleansing brush and wash eyelids. Rinse makeup brush with water and use the brush to rinse off all foam from eyelids. Repeat until eyelids are clean.

What is the difference between your tea tree makeup remover oil and your tea tree cleansing oil?

The We Love Eyes tea tree makeup remover oil is great for removing makeup, including waterproof makeup. The We Love Eyes tea tree cleansing oil is formulated with a higher concentration of tea tree oil for people who have symptoms of inflammation from conditions such as blepharitis and/or dry eyes.

Which product is the best for blepharitis?

If blepharitis is your eye problem. You've come to the right place. Here you can find more information on Dr Gill's systems for anterior and posterior blepharitis types. Link: We Love Eyes Systems

Is your product safe for blepharitis? DRY EYES?

As long as you are not allergic to tea tree oil, you are golden.

I’m allergic to eucalyptus. Can I use your products?

No. Tea tree oil comes from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, a tree that is native to Australia. It looks and smells similar to the eucalyptus tree since they are from the same family. We advise against using our products with tea tree oil if you are allergic to tea tree, eucalyptus, myrtle or clove as they are all related.

I’m allergic to nuts, do your products contain nuts?

All We Love Eyes products do not contain nuts, however it is made in a facility that also produces products with nuts. The equipment has been cleaned by FDA guidelines and protocols.

We would recommend doing a patch test on the inside of the wrist before using to be extra-careful.

I have gluten sensitivity, do your products contain gluten?

All We Love Eyes are safety tested to be gluten free to 5 parts per million. However, the manufacturing facility is not gluten free. Although their equipment is thoroughly cleaned by FDA guidelines and protocols, we would recommend doing a patch test on the inside of the wrist & to be very mindful about accidental ingestion.

I went out of town and left my foaming cleanser stopped foaming. What now?

In this case, give the bottle 10-12 vigorous shakes to redistribute the surfactants and try again.

The Eyelid Foaming Cleanser burns – how do I make it stop burning?

It's important to use clean fingers to wash your eyes. You should also keep your eyes closed while using the cleanser and rinse well. If your are still irritated by the product, you are likely allergic. If this is the case, please stop using the product all together and contact customer service for a return.

My vision gets a little blurry after use. Is this normal? Is it harmful?

Blurring of the vision is a small, occasional side effect of this product as compared to the benefits. Substantially reducing the dosing quantity usually and immediately remedies the blurring. You can also use your We Love Eyes right before bed to minimize the annoyance of blurry vision. It is NOT harmful to your eyes in any way. Just make sure to remove your contact lenses prior to use as it may fog up your contact lenses.

We Love Eyes does not cure or treat diseases of the eyes such as dry eyes, blepharitis, allergic conjunctivitis, pink eye, styes, chalazia etc. They help alleviate symptoms such as redness, watering, and/or irritation by cleansing the eyelid area with the right ingredients.
