Glycerin is a humectant, a type of moisturizing agent that pulls water into the outer layer of your eyelid skin from deeper levels and the air.

 

 

Water is often given a bad wrap in cosmetics. It's a myth that water is just there to 'water down' the ingredients that matter. Not true! Water is crucial as a solvent and plays a vital role in hydrating the eyelid skin and delivering keys ingredients.

 

Tetradecyl Aminobutyroylvalylaminobutyric is a tripeptide used for its anti-aging and anti-wrinkle properties. It's known to stimulate hyaluronic acid production, which helps improve skin hydration, firmness, and elasticity.  

 

Mode of Action

Proteins are involved in many processes of the anti-aging therapies for skincare. Focusing in, activation of TGF-beta protein is required for the synthesis of several highly relevant skin molecules such as COLLAGEN and GLYCOSAMINOGLYCANS like HA (hyaluronic acid). 

SYN®-HYCAN is a synthetic, patented tripeptide that mimics TGF-beta activation for increased HA synthesis of hyaluronan and stimulates the production of lumican and decorin, two important proteoglycans that are primarily responsible for maintaining a well-structured collagen matrix in the skin. Whew! That was a mouthful. Okay, now shorter:
