If milia around the eyes keeps coming back, it’s usually not about being too oily. It’s more about trapped dead skin cells and a compromised eyelid skin barrier. The eyelids have thinner skin, fewer oil glands, and are more prone to trapped debris than the rest of the face. Using harsh facial scrubs and acids can worsen milia by creating inflammation and compensatory oil secretion, throwing the natural eyelid skin biome off balance . . . and thus, continued milia.

This eye care specific routine is designed to prevent milia formation at the source by encouraging gentle cell turnover while keeping the eyelid skin barrier calm, hydrated, and balanced.

First, gently physically exfoliate with the Mini Mitt and SuperGLA® Eyelid & Eyelash Foaming Cleanser. When used together, the Mini Mitt + SuperGLA® strike the balance between encouraging natural cell turnover and supporting the eyelid skin barrier with nourishing oils.

Next, use A.M. Eyelid Gel to deliver lightweight hydration and encourage epithelial cell turnover. The key ingredient in A.M. Eyelid Gel is Vit-A-Like™, a powerful botanical mimicker of retinol that is also safe for meibomian glands.

When used consistently, this routine helps keep dead skin cells from becoming trapped beneath the surface, supports a resilient eyelid skin barrier, and reduces the conditions that allow milia to form in the first place. 50mL (foam), 7.5mL (eye cream), 1 tool.

Dispense 1 pump of foam* onto Mini Eyelid Scrub Mitt. With eyes closed, gently rub onto eyelids & eyelashes. Can also be used on the peri-ocular area and face. Rinse eyes and face with warm water. Wash mitt after each use with foaming cleanser and let air dry. *Warning: Because this product is a soap, do not get into eyes.
